Profile

My name is Kristina Žuna and I am a young PhD student at the Institute of Physiology, Pathophysiology and Biophysics at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna. This blog is my homage to writing, cooking and science.

I have always been interested in how certain things “work” and growing up I was more and more interested in the depth of reactions at smaller and smaller levels. That’s how I ended up with an undergraduate study in Biotechnology and a graduate study in Molecular Biotechnology at the Faculty of Food and Biotechnology of the University of Zagreb, which I completed in 2019. Since 2020, I have also been enrolled in a doctoral program that has little to do with cooking, but my passion for it is not waning.

If you are interested in my scientific articles and works, you can find a list here.

Besides I like to cook and bake, I still like to discover that world to myself and others. Since 2018, I have been creating for the Kreni Zdravo portal, and you can find my articles on various nutritional and health topics at this link.

I am also a member of the Association Forum for Sustainable Development Zeleni prozor, which deals with the promotion of sustainable development and the education of citizens, and for whose website I also write articles that you can read here.
